UK AWMN Methods
The methods area of the UK AWMN website contains descriptions of the methods used to obtain data for the Network.
The methodology for the various aspects of the Monitoring Programme has been determined by extensive discussion and consultation within the Acid Waters Review Group and between participating laboratories within the Monitoring Network and outside experts. Standard techniques are utilised throughout and are summarised in the pages below. The multifaceted nature of the Acid Waters Monitoring Programme determines that field sampling and laboratory analysis of biological and chemical determinands are the responsibility of several organisations and laboratories.
